Omarchy — via @MarcoPorro
OmarchyTV (beta) is an Omarchy-style launcher for Android TV with themes, a Waybar-style bar, live stats and a terminal-style screensaver. The companion omarchy-tv plugin lets an Omarchy PC push its theme to the TV and share its screen. It's based on tv-vibehack by @gathint and hosted on GitLab for now (gitlab.com/piermark/omarchytv).

Moved some GitHub Actions runners off Blacksmith ($400+/mo of compute) to an M5 Ultra 96GB Mac Studio at ~$110/mo with compute to spare. Thread context: runners managed with Tailnet (Tailscale) + k3s + actions-runner-controller (ARC); Mac Studio bought from Apple via Klarna financing (~$110/mo), not a hosting lease; also runs runners on an old Dell R630; staging/prod jobs stay in the cloud; on Starlink. A replier (joearroyo) also lets his idle M5 Ultra serve inference on Darkbloom (~34.5k jobs, ~$20).
Thread reply: a homelab makes sense for him at $0.1156/kWh with solar panels; attached NLR degree-day projections chart for La Plata County, CO (heating-dominant climate).

DHH on Rails' Agents on Rails Stage 3 benchmark (7 multi-step Rails tasks, 3-8 tickets each, new + legacy codebases): GPT-6.1 Sol is <5 pts behind Opus at <1/10 the cost ($0.80 vs $10.53/run). Best overall Sol 60.8% / 23m35s; most accurate Opus 5.5 max effort 65.3% (priciest, slow); fastest GPT-6 Astra medium 16m36s / 54% (max 62.3%, 22m36s); cheapest GPT-6 Luna $0.19 / 43.5%. Replying to argofowl, who asked how to juggle multiple accounts in the Claude desktop app without logging out and losing the sidebar, Theo says 'T3 Code + cliproxy for now.' T3 Code handles multiple accounts as separate Claude provider instances, each with its own CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR. CLIProxyAPI is a local proxy that pools several CLI OAuth logins (Claude, Codex, Gemini, Grok) behind OpenAI/Claude-compatible endpoints with round-robin. Caveat: Anthropic blocked third-party harnesses from using subscription limits on 2026-04-04, so subscription routing through the proxy may need extra usage.
Andromedus: 'if you're not using Grok Bot with T3Code you're not at the frontier.' Screenshot shows Grok Bot messaging a T3Code agent session (Claude Opus 5.5) to continue filing GitHub launch issues; the agent filed them and linked them under a tracking issue. A T3Code MCP for Grok Bot is coming soon.
Claude writes ~90% of Claude Code's code. June–Sept merged PRs more than doubled while the share reverted fell 40%+; Anthropic blog explains how they changed code review and how to adopt it.
Will Larson (Imprint) on 'small-change': with PRs/eng/week up 4x avg (10x on some teams) and p50 review time 33 to 77 min, CI auto-marks a PR small-change if it's under 1,000 LOC, has no p1/p2 ai-code-review findings, the author has 10+ merged PRs in that service, it touches few services, and it skips shared libs (per-repo .small_change file). A review-small-change skill only approves or ignores (never comments, to avoid 'meat proxy review'), and review-pr-cluster reviews batches for themes. About 10% of PRs qualify so far. Incidents are down 42% and critical incidents down 78% half-over-half.
Day 4 on the merged X/Grok/Cursor plan: Cursor cloud agents burn most (~3.3% weekly usage/hr), regular Cursor agent ~2.5%/hr, Grok CLI ~2%/hr, Grok 4.7 medium ~1.3%/hr. Gotcha: Auto model selection picked Claude and billed $4.95 to credits instead of included usage, so pin a Grok model. Bots are his biggest usage; ~14%/day budget to last the week; 45% at midweek. Complains of usage anxiety and wants separate pools.

Arash had Grok Bot find his phone number on people-search/data-broker sites and file removals to stop spam calls; shared it free as the 'Spam-Call Scrubber' Grok Bot template: finds listings, submits opt-outs, completes email confirmations, re-checks on a schedule.
Autonomous launched Harness Pro ($299, ships ~Nov 30)

Autonomous launched Harness Pro ($299, ships ~Nov 30): a small USB-C desk screen (3.95in 720x720 touch, CNC aluminum, ESP32-P4, mics) that, via the Harness app on Mac/Linux, shows every coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor...) across your machines, one per screen with a 'pet' animating its work; swipe between them, tap and talk to send the next task, pings when one finishes.
Reply to ThePrimeagen's 'DOTFILES.md are so nice: put everything you want in there and tell the agent to set up your computer' (Oct 15, 81k views). altan: 'Or use nixos' - declarative, reproducible machine config instead of an agent-run Markdown file.
"Smartphones will never be the same." Screenshots: a Pixel 10 Pro XL running Arch Linux ARM with the omalauncher home screen (github.com/SimonSchubert/omalauncher), Tokyo Night theme, and Claude Code in a terminal. He asks Claude to learn omalauncher, then to build a home-screen widget for Bitcoin price; Claude writes a 30-bitcoin.owl widget using CoinGecko's free API and it shows live on the home screen.

Spotifast 0.12: a native Spotify client in Rust + egui (no browser engine) using librespot for playback/Spotify Connect and the Spotify Web API for library/search. ~100–250 MB RAM vs 600 MB–1 GB+ for the official Electron-style desktop app, opens in under a second, 0% CPU when idle (backend on its own tokio thread, UI only repaints when woken). Linux/macOS/Windows; Premium needed for playback; up to 320 kbps, no lossless or offline. Extras: Omarchy theme sync, Winamp skins, MilkDrop visuals. Sibling app ZapFast does the same for WhatsApp on the shared fastframe base. Site: https://spotifast.rocks/ Repo: https://github.com/crmne/spotifast

After Nintendo's 2024 takedowns of Yuzu and Ryujinx, RomM (by Zurdi, started Mar 2023) is highlighted: a self-hosted ROM manager, not an emulator. It scans your own dumped ROMs, pulls metadata/box art/achievements (IGDB, MobyGames, Screenscraper, SteamGridDB, RetroAchievements), and plays in-browser via EmulatorJS. AGPL-3.0, ~9.1k stars, 400+ platforms, apps/plugins for Playnite, Android Argosy, muOS/Anbernic, RetroArch, Steam Deck, Syncthing; library sharing with permissions.
Hot take: "Steam Machine is dead" — a used PS5 (~$400) can now run any game with similar performance; hardware has no real software lock anymore. Quotes Mihawk9_9: PS5 Proton (PP), homebrew that runs 32/64-bit Windows games on PS5 via Proton, growing into "Mihawk OS," a Windows 11 clone, with a Linux compatibility layer planned.
